Step 7 : Vaccination phase 1 + Enjoy

In mid December (while the semester 7 exam is on, or just after it has finished), take a shot of Hepatitis B vaccine. It is a 3 shot course, which is generally taken in the following order,

1st shot - At least 1 month gap - 2nd shot - at least 6 months gap - 3rd shot.

So if you take one in 3rd week of December, then you can take the 2nd in the 3rd week of January (included in this phase itself) and the last shot in the 3rd week of July (you will be leaving in August, so this is the best schedule possible). There are many more vaccines, but that can be taken later. Also, if you have taken this vaccine at least 5 years before August in which you will be leaving, you don't need to take it again.

You are now done with your semester 7 exam, done with your applications. You are now heading into the last vacation of your life. (You won't get any time after sem 8. Enjoy it to the fullest. Go for trips, enjoy the new year. Make this vacation an unforgettable one. Continue the enjoyment into the final semester. Bunk lectures, go out. Enjoy the winter.


By January end or February beginning, you will get the first reply from a university. Some get it in early January too. Time for step 8
