Step 13: Visa step 4: Submit the documents (Mumbai only)

You need to submit some documents to the VFS office. The details are sent to your e mail address after you take the appointment. The checklist of documents is:

DS156 form in original, signed and photo affixed (photo specifications)

DS157 in original

DS158 in original and signed

Photocopy of I-20

SEVIS fee receipt print out

Photocopy of passport 1st and last page

Photocopy of observations and remarks page on passport

Photo copy of Interview letter (sent in e mail)

Original HDFC yellow fee receipt (Keep the pink one with you)

You need to go to the VFS office to submit the documents. The VFS office at Mumbai is at :

Landmark -> Next to Gabbana, opposite Mahalakshmi Temple. Timings : 8:00 to 17:00 (Monday to Friday) (13:00 to 13:30 lunch time)

Note: The earliest you can do this step is the day you have all the documents ready. The latest that you can do is at least 3 working days before your actual appointment (only for people of Mumbai or students who live in the same city as that of the consulate)
