Step 19: Visit the dentist and ophthalmologist

Dentist
As funny as it may sound, don't take this step lightly if you want to save handsome bucks later. You must visit the dentist in the 1st week of July.

Dental treatment is very costly in the USA. It is so costly that in the same price, you can fly to India, take the treatment here and again fly back. So do it here. Go for a complete dental check up. Tell the dentist that you are not in India for at least 2 more years so accordingly decide what is to be done.

If you have cement filled in some teeth years ago, ask him to check if the filling is in place. If not, refill the cavity.

Don't even think of doing a root canal operation there. You will be looted. Tell the dentist, if he does predict a root canal problem in the near future, tell him to do it right now.

Ophthalmologist
This is also important. Get your eyes checked, mainly for lens power. Even if there is a 0.25 difference, you will need a new pair of glasses. This is because, a 0.25 difference now, can become 0.50 later, and you can still keep it down to 0.25 if you have an updated pair of glasses. More on glasses in the shopping section.
